- Valid license from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK)
- Sponsor bank relationship (Must have an agreement with a licensed commercial bank)
- Compliance with National Payment System regulations
- Technical capability for API integration
- Information security certification (e.g., ISO 27001 or equivalent standards)
- Data privacy compliance documentation
